Resumen: | Linux and open source software represent a force that long predates the computer era: the notion of contributing to the common good. Erik's newsletter arrived in my mailbox this week. He publishes it once every four or six weeks from his home in some hilly region of the upper Midwest. As always, it contains reports of those issues that he despertaly wants to address: genocide in Darfur, political oppression in Myanmar, the monopolization of the news media in Western society, and the plight of women almost every-where.
